Rewarding your positive actions

All about Green Rewards

Green Rewards is an interactive programme for all staff and students at the University of Nottingham, rewarding you for the behaviours that improve individual and university-wide sustainability and wellbeing. You'll compete as part of a team to earn Green Points for your actions.

1. Take part in activities

There are a whole range of actions that you can earn points for under different themes.

Each activity has a full description of what you'll need to do to earn Green Points - some will require a submission that you can make through the website, whilst others will invite you to report your actions on a weekly basis. Click here to check out each of the activities

Be inspired and motivate others via the Live Activity Feed. ‘Like’ other members' posts to reward them with 25 Green Points, motivating them to keep up the great work! Not all activities will appear in the Activity Feed. If you don’t want your actions on the Activity Feed, then you can opt out via ‘My Account’.

2. Check the leader board

Whilst your own total continues to add up, the leader board will be refreshed at the start of each month and our top earners can only win once every three months – this means that everyone is in it to win!

3. Win prizes

There are loads of prizes available for individuals taking part in Green Rewards, as well as a termly top prize for the winning team. You'll get the chance to win:

A £20 voucher for the top eight performing individuals every month. From a choice of national vouchers such as Love2shop, Marks and Spencers or Book Tokens and local vouchers such as Koti Boxes, White Rose and Cow Vintage. If neither of these options appeal to you there are also vouchers for a cinema of your choice.
A £20 raffle voucher for two individuals who have completed any action through Green Rewards - even if you just take part in one activity a month, you're in with a chance of winning!
A £200 donation each term for the top team to use to benefit a charity of your choice.
You'll be able to see how you and your team are performing on the leader board on the homepage.

4. Encourage your colleagues and fellow students to get involved

You can encourage your colleagues to get involved (and earn Green Points for yourself) by heading to our Refer a Friend tool - all you need is your colleague's email address to send them an invite.

Please note: only people inside your organisation can get involved.
